In the above article [1] , in Section II-B.1)a, titled “Outer Encoding,” first sentence of second paragraph should be corrected to consistently use $\Omega _{j}$ denote coded packets, i.e., this state: “For systematic outer encoding, encoding vectors for packets _{j},\,\,j = 1, 2, \ldots, n$ form an identity matrix dimension notation="LaTeX">$n \times _{j}, j are identical source notation="LaTeX">$P_{j}$ .”
